Summertime Shirtdress!!

Image
I've got that summertime, summertime sadness! I'm sorry Lana Del Rey, but I beg to differ. In my not so humble opinion (haha, got you Dumbledore), summertime is absolutely not for sadness. More sun definitely equals to more fun, right? So, to take advantage of this summer, me and my sister went on a little hike to this beautiful place called Namo Buddha. It is about two hours' drive from the city of Kathmandu, and is absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful (and peaceful). I have never felt more peaceful and at ease with myself. Perfect for a little weekend getaway!!! So, to visit this place, I decided to wear this gorgeous shirt-dress, which was just lying there in my closet forever. To add some shape to the otherwise baggy shirt-dress, I wore a brown belt and a black waistcoat. This way, I felt comfortable as well as stylish. And I stacked up every bangles I own in my left hand :D, and nothing else except a pair of tiny "key" earrings. And to keep the hair ...

Fresh Off The Runway !!

Hey y'all! Hoow hav you beeeen? I recently did this fashion show called "IEC Designer's Runway 3" on March 20, 2016, which happened at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. It was  a graduation show organized by IEC College of Art and Fashion every year, where designers under IEC formally graduated and took their first steps in the fashion industry. House of Fashion managed this event, which has always been about promoting local fashion. As a fashion blogger, maybe I shouldn't be posting this. But the show was filled with so much glamour and style flowed freely from every corner of the venue. So, I just wanted to share it with my readers. Read on to know more. This was the very first dress I got to flaunt. It was prepared by Amyma Rai and Pema Sherpa. The theme of their collection was 'Abloom', which meant that all of the gowns and dresses had floral patterns and motifs. And they were also new/ budding designers (about to bloom), hence the name...

Feeling blue (&pink)!

Oh, how time flies by! It seems like only yesterday, we were playing doll at each other's houses. And now she got hitched. Makes me feel kinda old (haha). So, to attend my high school friend's wedding, I wore this embroidered lehenga (blouse+skirt+shawl), which is the equivalent of gowns in Nepal and India. Paired it with the highest heels I own and minimal accessories.  Meet my friends Deepa, Puja (the bride) and me !! Lehenga: Ordered from India Green earrings, Heels: People's Plaza Bracelets(both): Gifts from my sister!!

Prim For The Weekend!

Image
Spring is upon us!  And as Gustav Mahler says "With the coming of spring, I am calm again". This quote is applicable in my thoughts too. So, to welcome spring, when the days are warm in the afternoons and a bit chilly in the evenings, I decided to pair this gorgeous yellow peplum top with my favorite leather jacket. This biker jacket is cool and warm at the same time and tops my priority list for winter wear. The swirly print pant and yellow boots make the combination look perfect to chill out during the weekend. How do you like it? Chasing Rainbows!

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well despite the myriad of problems,  we Nepalese are facing these days. Since the temperature has dropped in the recent days, I decided to pair everyone's favorite winter staples together: a black knee length coat, striped cashmere sweater, blue jeans and knee high boots. This cashmere sweater is super light but surprisingly warm. Black coat is for chillier days, and these boots are the most prized possession in my closet. Many heads are turned in the streets every time I wear 'em, and it's very warm and chic.  A complete winter look.. Hiya! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! First post of 2016. This year, I have made a resolution to continue blogging and produce some decent posts. So, to create a special look for this winter, I tried pairing this burnt yellow oversize sweater with my favorite floral-print bodycon dress. Tied it up with a thin nude belt, added a pair of knee high socks with brown oxfords and I was good to go! The pictures aren't so good, but after constant cajoling, my sister finally agreed to be my photographer for a day and we click-click-clicked away all day long. What do you think? Checkmate!

Hello people!! I'm back with another post.  However, it's kind of an oldie. Last winter, I had this shoot for a modeling website (merolooks.com). But models had to bring their own clothes, so I started digging in my closet. And I decided to go for the all time favorite L ittle B lack D ress.  Since, it was kind of chilly, I could not wear it alone. So, after extra digging, I found this blue checked shirt, which is kinda warm, unlike the regular cotton shirts. I wore it underneath my LBD. And I paired them with my favorite heels,(which is my go-to pair for fashion shows), because it was kind of compulsory to wear 'em. Hence the look. How do you like it?
