Lavendermal


Hello dear readers,

Today I am going to share with you the backstory of how this blog's address/domain name was created. Do you know my favorite color? You might have guessed from the title. It's lavender. I was planning to name my blog address after this color and I tried lavendergirl, but it was already taken. Disappointed, I tried lavendercloset. Sorry, taken! lavenderclothes?  lavendershoes?  lavenderlavender? Nope, already taken. Then I typed lavendermallika, nope. lavendermallik? Hahaha, nope! malli, mall, mal? 

Ok, the site allowed me to use lavendermal. It sounded so tacky, like what does lavendermal even mean? But I was so exasperated by that time, I was ready to settle for any name like runningoutofpatience.com or sillyfulwors.fjs or whatever. Hence, my blog was forever doomed to bear the name lavendermal. Ewww! The only upside to this is that it rhymes with lavendergirl, the name I had originally planned.

It is the right time to tell this backstory because I am wearing my favorite color for this post. I gifted this top to myself on my 22nd birthday and so is very special to me. The floral red skirt, which has received quite a lot of compliments, looked gorgeous with the top. This outfit is quite a change from my usual style, as I prefer form-fitting dresses to loose, bohemian ones. The Oxfords sharpened the otherwise comfortable silhouette. Last but not the least, my sister gifted me this orange fitness band on my recent birthday, which looks gorgeous enough to flaunt as a jewelry, and so I did.

Escapade

Namaste readers, Quick fact: Namaste is a Nepali greeting, said along with the folding of your two hands, which denotes immense love and respect. Totally unrelated with my post though. Last Saturday, my friends proposed that we go on a escapade to Bhotekoshi river, Sindhupalchowk for rafting. What a wonderful day we spent! And returned with a bag full of wet clothes, mind full of memories and muscles full of aches. Haha! After all, what does your hard-earned money mean if you don't seek all the thrills that life provides! So, I wore something that was extremely impractical for the rafting itself (had extras) but great for my blog post. This beautiful blush lace dress has always been my favorite. When paired with a leather jacket, it looked remarkably well. These ankle length gladiator sandals completed the look, without being too over-the-top.  Do you think the look turned out well? Back to School

Hi guys, How have you all been? I didn't post twice this month and for that I have many excuses. Wanna hear the main one? Well, I had bigger plans for this month's post, but sometimes the mighty life deliberately throws you backwards. You don't have any other option but to accept it and start again, from one step back. Wanderlust-er

To move, To breath To fly, To float; To gain all while you give; To roam the roads of lands remote; To travel is to love Not my words, dear readers. Just something I read on the internet which touched me immensely. Traveling really is the best source of happiness out there. This realization has recently dawned on me, otherwise I am a complete sloth. I rarely get the interest to get out of bed, let alone travel to exotic lands.  But this habit has greatly changed ever since I started to live alone. Also, my new job is so stagnant, it got depressing after a while and I needed to recharge myself. So, I picked my favorite person in this entire world (my sister) to be my travel companion and off we went to this beautiful city Dharan, which is 218 kilometers away from Kathmandu.
