Fresh Off The Runway !!

Hey y'all!
Hoow hav you beeeen?

I recently did this fashion show called "IEC Designer's Runway 3" on March 20, 2016, which happened at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. It was  a graduation show organized by IEC College of Art and Fashion every year, where designers under IEC formally graduated and took their first steps in the fashion industry. House of Fashion managed this event, which has always been about promoting local fashion.

As a fashion blogger, maybe I shouldn't be posting this. But the show was filled with so much glamour and style flowed freely from every corner of the venue. So, I just wanted to share it with my readers. Read on to know more.

This was the very first dress I got to flaunt. It was prepared by Amyma Rai and Pema Sherpa. The theme of their collection was 'Abloom', which meant that all of the gowns and dresses had floral patterns and motifs. And they were also new/ budding designers (about to bloom), hence the name. Loved this collection.

Next was the theme 'Swanky Folk', prepared by Alpha Baral and Samana Neupane. The dresses had some dhaka print on them, either on the blouse or the skirts, which embraced the Nepali culture.

Then came 'High street Fashion' prepared by Rabindra Maharjan and Nirjal Singh Mahat. The dress I'm wearing had such shapes because the designers were inspired by Japanese lamps.

These dresses were prepared by Dina Shrestha and Sakuntala Pandey under the theme 'Beads and Bullets'. This collection was inspired by the Rana rulers as well as the military regime of Nepal and I felt some powerful vibes going on, wearing this collection.

This collection was my absolute favorite, since I love, love, love ball gowns. Give me anything princess-y and I will swoon with happiness. The collection was named 'Flores de color' and included bright, colorful and huge ball gowns. Mine was a princess gown featuring a strapless floral bodice and full bell shaped skirt.

This collection was prepared by Dipinta Thapa and Deepu Maharjan under the theme 'Elements of Life'and was inspired by vintage clothing.

Last, but not the least was 'Tomorrow land music festival' prepared by Kabita Lama and Anisha Shrestha. It was inspired by one of the biggest electronic music festival held every year at Belgium.
That's it for now.

I'll be back soon with a summer wear post. Ciao!
