My Best Friend's Wedding

Image
The best kind of friendships are fierce lady friendships where you aggressively believe in each other, defend each other, and think the other deserves the world. These are not my words, just something I read off the internet, yet somehow it struck a chord.  I am one of the few lucky ones to have that above mentioned kind of friendship. When me and my best friend met during the first year of our university (she was studying Optometry, me Public health), we both had weird negative opinions about each other. I thought that she was harsh and authoritarian, she thought that I was vain and ditzy (both were sorely mistaken). But as time passed by, we were inseparable. I cannot describe in a few lines about all the silly, fun, weird, lovely things we have done together for the last 5 years. Therefore 18th of June was a happy-sad kinda day for me, as she got married. Because she who deserves only the best, found the love of her life to cherish forever. And for me, she was the mos...

Escapade

Image
Namaste readers, Quick fact: Namaste is a Nepali greeting, said along with the folding of your two hands, which denotes immense love and respect. Totally unrelated with my post though. Last Saturday, my friends proposed that we go on a escapade to Bhotekoshi river, Sindhupalchowk for rafting. What a wonderful day we spent! And returned with a bag full of wet clothes, mind full of memories and muscles full of aches. Haha! After all, what does your hard-earned money mean if you don't seek all the thrills that life provides! So, I wore something that was extremely impractical for the rafting itself (had extras) but great for my blog post. This beautiful blush lace dress has always been my favorite. When paired with a leather jacket, it looked remarkably well. These ankle length gladiator sandals completed the look, without being too over-the-top.  Do you think the look turned out well? Until the next post, bye my loves! Lace ...

Human emotions are weird! One day, you feel light as a feather and wish to fly. Other days, no amount of love and motivation is enough! So are human relationships, total disarray! These thoughts are totally unrelated to my post, just wrote what I was feeling. Thank you for enduring with me no matter what I write. So, remember  this post   where I told you that if I had to wear one thing for the rest of my life, it would be this skirt. I really can't get enough of this airy piece of clothing and want to twirl like a blushing maiden all the time. I did nothing fancy this time, just wore a basic brown top with zipper details in the left and a grey shawl that is dear to me! And by now, you must have known my undying love for ballet flats, I'm devoted to their simplicity and comfort. No makeup, no accessories. Totally plain, which mirrored my mood that day. How do you like it? Brown Tshirt: MANGO Skirt: Sanu Babu Ballet Flats: ATMOSPH...

An Affair to Remember!

Image
It was a  new year, a new beginning! Into the woods they went, Stars were guiding them And moon became the spectator, Turned out to be something surreal Imprinted in each other's memories forever, They didn't need any intoxication They were high on each other! All in all, it was an affair to remember!!! Me and my two best girlfriends went on a day out on Nepali new year, up to the temple of Bajrabarahi, the goddess of divine strength! This day had been planned since the last two years, but the fate was sealed for it to happen only in 2074 B.S. It was a great day, we ended up having the best time. We have been together 5 years now and this amazing bond of friendship only continues to grow. Thank you girls!   So, nothing fancy for this day out! Just your regular printed tank top with wide shorts and a kimono outer, which jazzes up every one of my outfits. Ballet flats are a girls best friend (After diamonds, of course), so they were the obvious choice. And that t...

Wanderlust-er

To move, To breath To fly, To float; To gain all while you give; To roam the roads of lands remote; To travel is to love Not my words, dear readers. Just something I read on the internet which touched me immensely. Traveling really is the best source of happiness out there. This realization has recently dawned on me, otherwise I am a complete sloth. I rarely get the interest to get out of bed, let alone travel to exotic lands.  But this habit has greatly changed ever since I started to live alone. Also, my new job is so stagnant, it got depressing after a while and I needed to recharge myself. So, I picked my favorite person in this entire world (my sister) to be my travel companion and off we went to this beautiful city Dharan, which is 218 kilometers away from Kathmandu. It was a great journey, with great people and great memories. I could write a really long post about that, but this is not a travel blog, haha, so let's move on. I wore a black crop top for ...

Blue and Lonesome!

Image
Dear readers, Hello from the other side (of the computer screen). I came back sooner this time as I usually post once a month only. But I could not resist dressing up and going out to soak up on the sun, before it becomes unbearable. This is the perfect time of the year for me because that's when unpacking for summer begins. Ooh, the gorgeous clothes, packed away for a long, long time finally get to be free.    Culottes were all the rage last summer as they should be, but I adopted the trend late. Anyway, once you get in the habit of wearing them, other pants start to become an eyesore. They're way too comfortable in the summer and look stylish. Wear 'em with anything and you're good to go. So, I paired them with this blue over sized top, which looks and feels like denim, but is actually not. Also, it has the name of my dream city (New York, you got it). And because it's way too over sized, I cinched it with a belt, and it looked nice. Then I added ballet flats...

Back to School ÌÍ

Image
Hey guys, hope you all are having a great time. If not, you will, you still have the rest of the day to make it great. And summer's almost here, so it will be great soon anyway.  So, do you know which is the highest viewed post in this dear blog of mine?  This is. Back To School!!  Thank you for making it so. Owing to its popularity, I decided to do a similar post this time. Schoolgirl-y kinda thing. Hope you guys will make it the next highest viewed post, haha. Forgive my assumption. Anyway, here it goes. I paired this gorgeous little black dress that I bought at Thamel with this cute striped t-shirt. And since it's still cold outside, a warm coat is a must. My sister brought me this tribal necklace from South Africa, which is the most beautiful piece of accessory in my closet. It complimented the entire look, so I kept the rest of it simple. And a pair of translucent stockings with brown ankle boots to bring out that girly vibe. Oh, and to look more like a scho...
