You can stand under my UMBRELLA


Hello people,
In my last post I had promised to be back in a fortnight, but I didn't. Sorry. I was out of Kathmandu valley for 9 days on field work, but I'm back now. I'd shot these pictures before I went, but I forgot to post them. Anyway, here it is now.

It's been raining pretty hard these days. After all it's monsoon, what is the weather supposed to do, huh? Monsoon can be pesky, specially after the "enjoying-the-rain" part is over, and dressing up is challenging too. So, I played a little with my clothes this time and turned my regular kurti into a top. I tucked them into my pants actually and it looked pretty nice, so I went ahead with it. And in my opinion, jeans are a complete no-no for monsoon, they get so tight and itchy after they get wet. So, I wore these half cargo pants and some rainproof sandals and I was all ready. I tied my hair into a high ponytail and wore my pendant as a headband.

Now the yellow umbrella is the highlight of this post. I'd seen this umbrella in my facebook page and it caught my eye immediately. It's so amazing, the way some pretty interesting things have been written on it. And it's yellow - a pop color is always necessary for monsoon, right? I had to possess it immediately, so I went ahead and bought it. All eyes on me since, haha.

Escapade

Namaste readers, Quick fact: Namaste is a Nepali greeting, said along with the folding of your two hands, which denotes immense love and respect. Totally unrelated with my post though. Last Saturday, my friends proposed that we go on a escapade to Bhotekoshi river, Sindhupalchowk for rafting. What a wonderful day we spent! And returned with a bag full of wet clothes, mind full of memories and muscles full of aches. Haha! After all, what does your hard-earned money mean if you don't seek all the thrills that life provides! So, I wore something that was extremely impractical for the rafting itself (had extras) but great for my blog post. This beautiful blush lace dress has always been my favorite. When paired with a leather jacket, it looked remarkably well. These ankle length gladiator sandals completed the look, without being too over-the-top.  Do you think the look turned out well? Back to School

Hi guys, How have you all been? I didn't post twice this month and for that I have many excuses. Wanna hear the main one? Well, I had bigger plans for this month's post, but sometimes the mighty life deliberately throws you backwards. You don't have any other option but to accept it and start again, from one step back. Just something I read on the internet which touched me immensely. Traveling really is the best source of happiness out there. This realization has recently dawned on me, otherwise I am a complete sloth. I rarely get the interest to get out of bed, let alone travel to exotic lands.  But this habit has greatly changed ever since I started to live alone. Also, my new job is so stagnant, it got depressing after a while and I needed to recharge myself.
